John Bannister Goodenough (July 25, 1922 to June 25, 2023) was an American materials scientist, a solid-state physicist, and a Nobel laureate in chemistry. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2019 alongside Akira Yoshino and M. Stanley Whittingham.
